Terms of Use
Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Court Minutes is published by Concept to App LLC ("we", "us"). Independent. Not affiliated with any court or broadcaster.
These terms apply to the Court Minutes website (courtminutes.app) and apps. By using Court Minutes, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
- What Court Minutes is. Court Minutes publishes plain-language summaries of public court proceedings in televised criminal trials. Summaries are AI-assisted and may be published without individual human review. They can contain errors or omissions and are not a substitute for the proceedings themselves: the broadcast and the court's record are the record; a recap is a summary of it. Our standards are in our Editorial Rules.
- Not legal advice. Court Minutes is news and general information. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Explanations of legal terms are general and the law differs from state to state. If you need legal advice, talk to a lawyer licensed where you live. Nothing in a recap is a verdict until the court reads and accepts it.
- Not official. Court Minutes is not a court record and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for any court, judge, party, lawyer or broadcaster.
- Accuracy and corrections. We work to be accurate and we correct mistakes in the open. Corrections appear at the top of the day's recap and in the Corrections Log. To tell us about a mistake, use Report an Error on any recap, or write to contact@courtminutes.app.
- Third-party players and sites. Watch pages show the broadcaster's own video in YouTube's embedded player, and other links open broadcasters' and courts' own sites. We don't host, copy or rebroadcast their video or audio. Those players and sites have their own terms and privacy policies (including the YouTube Terms of Service), their own ads, and content we don't control and are not responsible for. Some video shows graphic evidence; we warn before opening a moment we've marked as graphic, but we can't mark everything.
- Acceptable use. Don't misuse Court Minutes. In particular, don't:
- scrape, copy or download the service at scale, or use it to build a competing database;
- try to break, overload or get around its security, bot protection or rate limits;
- send false, abusive, threatening or spam reports;
- use it to harass, threaten or identify jurors, witnesses or anyone protected by a court order; or
- use it in a way that breaks the law or a court order. We may block access that breaks these rules.
- Our content and sharing. The recaps, moment summaries, explainers and site design are ours, except for the quoted words of people in court and the broadcasters' material. You may share links to any page and quote short passages for news, commentary or personal use, with credit to Court Minutes and a link. Don't republish whole recaps or present our work as your own without written permission (email contact@courtminutes.app).
- Copyright and takedown. We respect copyright. How we use others' work and how to send a copyright notice are on our Copyright and DMCA page.
- What you send us. When you send an error report, trial request or email, you let us use it to run and improve Court Minutes, including correcting recaps. We won't publish your name or email. See our Privacy Policy.
- Disclaimers. Court Minutes is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, that alerts will arrive on time, or that any recap is free of errors. Don't rely on Court Minutes for decisions where a mistake could harm you; check the broadcast or the court record.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Concept to App LLC and the people who work on Court Minutes are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Court Minutes. Our total liability for any claim about Court Minutes is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
- Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about Court Minutes will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
- Changes. We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep using Court Minutes after a change, you accept the updated terms.
